11월 소식

• 제 19회 추수감사절 디너 성황

11월 25일(토) 제 19회 뉴저지밀알 추수감사절 디너가 포트리에 위치한 더블트리 호텔에서 성황중에 마쳤습니다. 밀알 친구들, 가족들, 밀알을 사랑하시는 분들 400여명이 모여 그야말로 가족 잔치가 이루어졌습니다. (자세한 내용은 기사 참조)

아낌없는 후원으로 15만불의 기금이 마련되어 장애인과 사역자가 가족이 되어 함께 살아가는 마더홈을 이루는 씨앗이 되었습니다. 다양한 래플 품목이 모여져서 장아찌에서 고구마, 영양새싹에 미향기 쿠폰까지 참가하신 분들의 마음이 즐거웠습니다. 매년 준비하는 감사절 디너가 부담이 아니라 일년에 한번 만나는 밀알 가족들과의 풍성한 잔치가 되게 하심을 감사합니다. 해마다 400여명의 음식을 무료로 제공해 주시는 12 바스켓 박남제 권사님께 특별히 감사드립니다.

 

• 방글라데시 밀알 사랑의 캠프 준비 모임

– 19년 제 1회 사랑의 캠프에 이어 내년 2월에 2회 사랑의 캠프를 실시하고자 미국에서, 한국에서 청년들이 매주 기도모임을 모임을 가지며 프로그램을 준비하고 있습니다. 팀 맴머 구성과 재정, 좋은 프로그램으로 방국의 친구들을 섬길 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

 

• 강미경 사모는 방글라데시 친구들의 크리스마스 선물로 경량 패딩75벌을 준비하여 12월 4일(수)-18일(월)까지 방글라데시를 방문합니다. 선물을 위하여 한국과 미국에서 헌금해 주신 많은 분들께 감사를 드립니다.

 

• 과테말라 제 1회 사랑의 캠프

지난 여름 안진찬 선교사님과 사역자 이루마 사모께서 미국 사랑의 캠프에 참가하여 많은 도전을 받고 이번 11월 30일-12월 1일 1박 2일로 제 1회 사랑의 캠프를 열렀습니다. “우리는 가족이다” 라는 주제로 밀알 친구들에게 잊을 수 없는 복된 캠프를 선물해 주었습니다. (기사 참조) 이 사역을 담당하고 계신 박호경장로님 내외분께서 다녀 오셨습니다.

 

• 초청예배

– 26일(주일)은 김권식 박사님 내외분을 모시고 함께 예배를 드렸습니다. 27일(월)에는 박사님 내외분과 지인들께 밀알 분들이 함께 아침식사를 대접했습니다. 아침 식사로는 거하지만? 꼭 스노우 크랩을 대접해야 한다고 해서 준비하고 권사님들께서 육개장을 준비하셔서 즐거운 식사를 하였습니다 수고하신 분들께 감사를 드립니다.

 

• 12월 3일 예배때에는 지성소 예배를 드리는 찬양 사역자 유태웅 목사님을 모시고 찬양 예배를 드렸습니다. 목사님은 내년 4월에 뉴저지 밀알에서 한달동안 찬양 콘서트와 갤러리 전시회를 열어 밀알을 도우실 계획을 가지고 계십니다.

 

• 터키재단 쌀 기증 해주셨습니다

매년 감사절 때마다 어려운 이웃들과 사랑을 나누는 한미 터키재단(전상복 장로)에서는 올해도 밀알에 쌀 70포를 기증해 주셨습니다. 밀알 칼리지가 매일 점심 식사를 하게 되어 기중해 주신 쌀을 정말 유용하게 사용할 수 있어 감사를 드립니다.

 

• 밀알친구 천국(노아)의 어머니 선교사 파송

지난 몇 년동안 밀알 친구였던 천국이의 어머니께서 탄자니아로 선교사 파송을 받으셨습니다. 26일(주일) 오후 밀알에서 가까운 분들을 모시고 차송예배를 드렸습니다. 자녀들이 장애로 어려움을 겪고 있음에도 불구하고 어려운 선교를 결심하시고 떠나시는 노아 어머니와 가족을 주님께서 축복해 주시기를 기도합니다.

 

• 밀알의 기도
• 윤희정 권사님은 3중 음성 유방암 진단을 받으시고 항암치료를 준비하고 계십니다. 1년동안의 치료 기간동안 하나님의 인도하심을 깊이 체험하시기를 기도합니다
• 이은경 집사님 친정 어머니께서 92세의 연세로 소천하셔서 한국에 다녀 오셨습니다. 위로하여 주시기를 바랍니다.
• 김수진 집사님은 교통사고 후유증으로 다리 인대 수술을 하셨습니다. 빠른 회복을 기도합니다.

 

• 2023 AACC OPEN Winter Concert

해마다 열리는 Youth Concert(지휘 강혜미)가 12월 2일(토) Englewood Health Center에서 열렸습니다. 강혜미님은 이 콘서트를 통하여 장애인 선교에 항상 동참하여 주시는 분입니다. 올해도 감사드립니다.

 

• 밀알동산교회 창립 13주년 예배

밀알이 교회를 시작한지 13주년을 맞이했습니다. 예수님의 오병이어의 은혜로 운영되는 밀알동산교회가 작지만 지금까지 하나님의 인도하심 따라 서로 사랑하고 서로 다른 사람들의 짐을 져주는 아름다운 교회로 성장하게 하심을 감사합니다. 그리고 지난 12년동안 한번도 부족함 없이 방글라데시 장애인 선교를 이어가게 하시고 계속 성장하게 하심을 감사드립니다.

 

• 밀알 사역자를 찾습니다.

밀알이 꾸준히 성장함에 따라 함께 사역할 분들이 필요합니다, 사무실에서 사무 행정을 하실 수 있거나 주일학교에서 장애인 친구들 예배와 활동을 인도하실 분, 밀알의 전반적인 사역을 관리할 사무장 또는 총무가 필요합니다. 관심이 있으신 분은 연락 주시기 바랍니다. (201-638-5148)

 

• 사랑의 교실 봉사자

매주 토요일 11시부터 오후 3시까지 운영하고 있는 장애인 사랑의 교실에 월 1회 참석하여 찬양과 게임 액티비티를 도와줄 청년부를 찾고 있습니다. 현재 GCC 와 온누리 교회 청년부, 새벽이슬 청년들이 매월 봉사하고 있습니다. 관심 있는 청년부는 연락 주시기 바랍니다.

 

• 밀알 칼리지 봉사자

매 월-금 오전 9시 30분부터 오후 2시 30분까지 진행되고 있는데 봉사자들이 필요합니다. 일주일에 하루나 이틀 봉사를 원하시는 분은 누구든지 참여하실 수 있습니다.

The 19th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Triumph

On November 25th (Saturday), the 19th New Jersey Milal Harvest Thanksgiving Dinner took place at the DoubleTree Hotel in Fort Lee. Over 400 Milal friends, families, and those who love Milal gathered for a joyous family feast. The event, detailed in the article, was a success.

Generous donations amounted to $150,000, creating a seed for the Mother’s Home where individuals with disabilities and caregivers become a family. The diverse raffle items brought joy to participants, ranging from pickled radishes to sweet potato coupons for nutritious sprouts. Gratitude for making the Thanksgiving dinner an enriching celebration with Milal family each year, especially to Pastor Namje Kwon who provides free meals to over 400 people annually.

Bangladesh Milal Love Camp Preparation Meeting

Following the success of the 19th Annual Love Camp, preparations are underway for the 2nd Love Camp scheduled for February next year. Teams from the USA and Korea gather weekly for prayer meetings, seeking financial support and crafting a meaningful program to serve friends in Bangladesh.

Missionary Kang Mikyung’s Christmas Gift to Bangladesh Friends

Missionary Kang Mikyung has prepared 75 lightweight padded jackets as Christmas gifts for friends in Bangladesh. She will be visiting Bangladesh from December 4th to 18th to deliver these gifts, expressing gratitude to those who contributed from Korea and the USA.

First Love Camp in Guatemala

Missionary An Jinchan and missionary Eruhma organized the first Love Camp in Guatemala from November 30th to December 1st, offering Milal friends an unforgettable blessed camp themed “We Are Family.” Pastor Park Hokyung, who oversees this ministry, and his wife participated in this meaningful event.

Invited Worship

On Sunday, the worship service welcomed Dr. Kim Kwon-sik and his wife. On Monday, Milal members hosted breakfast for Dr. Kim and his friends, serving a delightful meal that included Snow Crab, a special request. Gratitude to all who contributed to the event.

Worship with Praise Minister Yoo Taewoong

On December 3rd, a worship service featuring praise minister Rev. Yoo Taewoong was held. Rev. Yoo plans to support Milal by organizing a month-long praise concert and gallery exhibition in April next year.

Rice Donation from Turkish Foundation

Once again, the Korean-American Turkish Foundation, led by Elder Jeon Sangbok, donated 70 bags of rice to Milal during Thanksgiving. Milal College appreciates the generous donation, which greatly supports the daily lunch meals for the community.

Milal Friend Noah’s Mother Missionary Sent Off

The mother of Milal friend Noah, who has been a friend of Milal for several years, received a missionary sending-off to Tanzania. A farewell worship service was held on Sunday afternoon, praying for God’s blessings on Noah’s mother and family as they embark on this challenging missionary journey.

Milal Prayer Requests

Pray for Ms. Yoon Hee-jung, who has been diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer and is preparing for cancer treatment. May she experience God’s guidance and deep presence during the one-year treatment period.

Condolences for Ministry Leader Eun Kyung’s Mother-in-law

Ministry leader Eun Kyung’s mother-in-law passed away at the age of 92. Prayers for comfort and strength during this time.

Speedy Recovery for Ministry Leader Su-jin

Ministry leader Kim Su-jin underwent leg ligament surgery due to the aftermath of a traffic accident. Prayers for her quick recovery.

2023 AACC OPEN Winter Concert

The annual Youth Concert conducted by Kang Hye-mi took place on December 2nd at Englewood Health Center. Kang Hye-mi consistently supports disability missions, and Milal is grateful for her continued involvement.

Milal Dongsan Church 13th Anniversary Service

Milal celebrated its 13th anniversary as a church. Gratitude for God’s grace, guiding Milal Dongsan Church to grow into a beautiful community that loves one another and bears the burdens of different people.

Milal is Seeking Ministry Workers

As Milal continues to grow steadily, individuals are needed to join the ministry. Positions include office administration, leading worship and activities for disabled friends in Sunday school, and a general manager to oversee various aspects of Milal’s ministry. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact (201-638-5148).

Love Classroom Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are sought to assist with praise and game activities once a month on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm at the Disability Love Classroom, which operates weekly. Currently, the GCC, Onnuri Church youth, and Saebaegeesul youth groups volunteer monthly. Interested youth groups are invited to contact us.

Milal College Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to assist from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at Milal College. Individuals wanting to volunteer for one or two days a week are welcome to join.
