지난 해도 주님의 크신 은혜와 여러사람들의 귀한 동역과 후원 덕분에 잘 마칠 수 있어 감사드립니다.
장애인 선교 봉사를 주님께서 기뻐하신다는 사실이 틀림없는 것 같습니다. 그들은 갚을 것이 없지만 주님께서는 그들 대신 여러사람들을 통하여 갚아주시고 채워주셨습니다. 봉사자가 부족하여 어려울 때 전혀 생각지 못한 분들이 와서 그 빈자리를 채워주셨고 재정적 어려움이 있을 때에도 전혀 기대하지 않았던 분들이 도움을 주셨습니다.
제가 머리로 하나님을 신학대학원에서 배웠다라면 체험으로 밀알선교단 사역을 하면서 배웠습니다. 그래서 능력은 부족하지만 더 큰 기도를 하게 됩니다. 지금은 밀알복지재단까지 합하여 100군데 세계에 밀알이 있지만 제 평생에 1000 곳에 세우는 것입니다. 이것은 우리가 무슨 큰일을 한다고 자랑하기 위해서가 아니고 밀알이 세워지는 곳마다 장애인들에게 위로와 소망이 생기기 때문입니다. 또한 이런 기도를 할 때 뉴저지밀알만 생각하는 지역 이기주의에서 벗어날 수 있기 때문입니다.
요즘에 홀로 사시는 홀 사모님들이나 은퇴 선교사님들 그리고 시니어분들을 만나게 됩니다 홀로 외롭게 계시든지 아니면 요양원에서 계시는 것을 보고 봉사자와 장애인 그리고 그분들이 함께 사는 마더홈을 만들면 어떨까 라는 소원을 갖고 기도하고 있습니다. 밀알 가까이 마더홈들이 생기면 외롭지 않고 안전하며 은퇴 후까지 장애인 선교 봉사를 하며 행복하게 살 수 있겠다 라는 가능성을 봅니다.
저희들은 능력도 부족하고 세상에서 유력한 사람들도 아닙니다. 그러나 낮은자와 약한자를 쓰시기를 기뻐하시는 하나님을 믿기에 감히 그런 소원을 갖고 기도하게 됩니다. 그런 일들이 이루워졌을 때 과연 주님께서 약한자들을 들어 쓰신 사실이 확실히 증거될 것입니다. 이런 소망과 기도는 우리만 해서는 가능성이 낮다고 생각합니다. 주님께서 같은 소망을 가지신 분들을 많이 보내주시길 기도합니다.
뉴저지밀알을 위해 한결같이 기도해주시고 후원해주셔서 이제 내년이면 30년이 됩니다. 주께서 주신 사명을 끝까지 완수 할 수 있도록 기도 부탁드립니다.
복된 새해를 맞이 하여 가정과 교회, 하시는 일터, 자손들에게 주님께서 늘 함께 해주시길 기도합니다.

Dear friends and supporters,
With gratitude for the abundant grace bestowed upon us by the Lord and the precious collaboration and sponsorship of many individuals, we successfully concluded the past year. It is undeniably evident that the Lord takes delight in the mission of serving those with disabilities. Though they have no debt to repay, the Lord, through various individuals, has graciously repaid and filled the gaps when volunteers were scarce or unexpected helpers emerged during challenging times.
My theological education at God’s hands was learned through the experiential ministry of Milal Mission. Therefore, despite my limited abilities, I find myself praying for greater things. Currently, encompassing Milal World Wheat Foundation, we aspire to establish 100 Milal centers worldwide. This endeavor is not for self-praise but to bring comfort and hope to individuals with disabilities at every Milal center, fostering a place where prayers come to life. It also allows us to break free from regional egoism when praying for New Jersey Milal alone.
In recent times, I have encountered elderly widows, retired missionaries, and seniors living alone. I pray with the hope of creating Mother Homes where volunteers, individuals with disabilities, and these seniors can live together happily, free from loneliness, in a secure environment, engaging in missionary service even in retirement.
We acknowledge our shortcomings and lack of worldly influence, yet, trusting in a God who delights in using the lowly and weak, we dare to pray for such aspirations. When these prayers are answered, it will undoubtedly be a testament to the Lord lifting up the weak. While recognizing the challenges, we believe that such hope and prayers, when shared by many, increase the likelihood of realization.
We earnestly pray for those who share the same hope as the Lord to be sent abundantly. As we approach the new year, marking 30 years since the mission was entrusted to us, we seek your prayers for its completion. May the Lord be with your families, churches, workplaces, and descendants, ushering in a blessed new year.
