* Agape Love Class Commencement
Summer vacation ended and we began our Agape Love Class on September 10 (Saturday). After a lot of time, the friends and their parents gathered to enjoy a nice time together. In this new semester, Sol Lim, Da Hyun Hong, Jessi and student staff helped organize the class.
* President’s Volunteer Award Ceremony
On September 17, Saturday, students were awarded a President’s Volunteer Award after several years of diligent volunteering in the different areas of serving at Milal. Due to the COVID pandemic, this year, we had just 10 12th graders who received the award. We hope these students will take their experiences with them to college and out in the world to befriend those who are disabled and continue in the spirit of volunteerism.
* Invited Musical Performance by 이노비
On Saturday, September 17 at 1PM, the 이노비 Musical Team performed at Agape Love Class. As the musical team performed theme songs from hit cartoons and animations that the Milal students enjoy, friends gathered on stage to dance joyfully with the guests.
* Board of Directors of the Sports Association for the Disabled
On September 24 the Board of Directors of the Sports Association about the Disabled met in Kansas City, KS. Rev. Wonho Kang attended the first sports meeting evaluation, which meets biennially, to become a member of the sports association.
* Grace In Motion 5K Run/ 2K Walk
GIM, which has been collaborating with Milal, raised funds through the Run/ Walk event to open a new café. On Saturday, October 8, 9AM to 12 PM, about 500 people participated in the 5K Run and 2K Walk.
* The Mission Board
On September 25, Sunday, at approximately 8PM, Milal Mission and Milal College joined in a Zoom meeting regarding the month’s activities.
* Visits to Mission Sites
On August 1st to September 8th, Mikyoung Kang visited the Agape, Joyful, and Rodem School ministries in Bangladesh. This year, new disabled people joined the new adult group home.
Ho Kyoung Park and Elder Choon Sik Min served on September 18th to the 25th in Guatemala. Milal ministry in Guatemala is thriving well, and we thank you.
* Apple Picking Field Trip
On Friday, September 30, Milal College attended Riamede Farm to do apple-picking. The orchard was about one hour away, and we packed snacks and lunch and ate them in the church van before picking a variety of different apples together, tasting them and picking all sorts of apples and purchasing them. With nice weather, a nice farm, nice friends, we all shared a joyous time, and we thank you.
* Reverend Won Ho Kang’s All-Male Choir Tour
Won Ho Kang will visit Korea from October 2nd to the 18th, as part of the New Jersey All-Male Minister’s Choir. We pray that God be glorified through the tour of the country. We pray that he returns healthy and safely.
